To participate, simply phone into the “Call-In Number” and enter the Access Code when prompted. Both are listed below.
Our Oklahoma Team session will begin at 11 p.m. CST on Wednesday night, on January 8th, 15th, and 22nd.
Please phone in by 10:55 p.m. for roll call.
Depending upon the number of intercessors on the call, each participant should expect to pray for 5 – 10 minutes during the 1-hour session. Your prayer time may be all in one stretch or broken up during the call. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.
This month’s prayer focus is on business. Please inquire of Holy Spirit to give you understanding on how to pray for businesses nationally, and especially for those businesses in our Midwest Region (OK, TX, IN, MI, MO, IL). Praying pertinent scriptures is always powerful.
Please feel free to call, text or email if you have questions or need some one-on-one assistance.

“LORD, teach us to pray.”
The following was taken from our National Day of Prayer website:
Together we pray for people … serving in Business and in the Workplace.
We pray fervently for the Workplace; for the people and the places where God calls us to work each day.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would remind us that we are God’s ambassadors, representatives of righteousness sent to run with the message of reconciliation. We seek the blessings from heaven's glorious riches, not longing for counterfeit cultural abundance, but the abundant life authored by Jesus. We pray that each person would work unto the Lord, not disrespecting or despising man but knowing that the workplace is their mission field. Working in integrity, humility, excellence, and diligence to walk in all that has been received in Christ. Not seeking to gain the whole world but seeking to magnify and glorify God who will supply every need. We pray that the Lord will keep people from being slothful and selfish, keeping pride and greed far from each person as they labor in the fields where He sends them for His harvest. May each person in the workplace know that their value is found in Him and from Him.
A God-honoring business can be a great benefit to employees and the community, and a person who honors God in each task through the day speaks a testimony of faith. We need to cover our workplaces in prayer to see hearts changed for the Kingdom of God!
Scripture
Pray that God will raise up His ambassadors in the workplace.
Matthew 5:14-16
Galatians 6:9
Proverbs 29:2
Exodus 31:3-5
Watchman of the Night
Please be advised that the Night Watch is not just a once-a-year NDP event. The Watchman of the Night (WON), as they are called, pray throughout the year, and will join you on your call. So will others outside of WON who are aware that they can call and pray as they are led. Therefore, ask the Holy Spirit NOW how to proactively facilitate your prayer time.
As we press forward in unity for our nation and offer the prayers the Lord wants to release through us in the night seasons, it is important for us to address this issue. Here are some suggestions to make sure your Night Watch reaches its designated prayer destination:
Keep miscellaneous chatter to a minimum. This is not the time to talk about personal matters or to invite people to your ministry event.
Prepare yourself with scriptures. If you have them printed or written down, you can read a scripture or ask someone to read it for you. Then, get back on track.
COMMANDING THE NIGHT
“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (I Corinthians 16:13)
“Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’” (Mark 13:35-37)
Command: To order with authority; to take charge of; to exercise direct authority over; to lead; to dominate by position; to guard, to overlook.
What is the Night Watch?
“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.” (Lamentations 2:19 NIV)
During the night watch, we pray for America and its leadership in the seven mountains or centers of influence, which include: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church, and Family.
Biblical Mandates and Examples of Prayer Watches
Old Testament:
“The lampstand will stand in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the LORD's presence all night. This is a permanent law for the people of Israel, and it must be observed from generation to generation.” (Exodus 27:21 NLT)
“Give Aaron and his sons the following instructions regarding the burnt offering. The burnt offering must be left on top of the altar until the next morning, and the fire on the altar must be kept burning all night.” (Leviticus 6:9 NLT)
The priests had to keep the lamps in the temple burning. The Lord commanded that the fire on the altar should never be allowed to go out, so the priests were assigned a shift of 24 hours to pray and worship in the temple.
New Testament:
“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” (Acts 1:8 NIV)
The early church was born out of continuous prayer, 24/7. According to most scholars, the disciples prayed in unison for 10 days before the Holy Spirit descended on them at the Pentecost.
Is There Not A Cause?
As we face unprecedented challenges in America such as wars, rumors of wars, a sluggish economy, attacks upon our Christian heritage and religious freedoms, God is restoring the ministry of the “watchman” to the body of Christ. We must hear the call to spiritually defend and protect our nation through fervent and consistent prayer. “What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'" (Mark 13:37 KJV)
We are all called to be watchmen. God’s original intent for man was to watch over what He had created, to tend and keep it (Genesis 2:15). The terms “watch,” “watchman,” “watchmen,” and “watching” are mentioned in the Bible165 times. America is a nation that was founded upon godly principles. It is time for the watchman in this nation to awaken and begin to cry out to God for mercy.
“You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new. I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.” (Leviticus 26:7-12)
Prayer power is greatly multiplied when it is linked with others. A prayer watch is coming into corporate agreement with God’s will about an issue, a situation, or a nation in a time ordained by God in fervent, consistent, believing prayer. Corporate prayer manifests the presence of God and brings transformation to our Nation.
The Spiritual Benefits of Being A Watchman
You will gain intimacy with God.
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning.” (Psalm 130:5-6)
You will gain insight/strategy on how to pray for America and the seven mountains of influence.
“But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry. They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.” (Nehemiah 4:7-9 NIV)
You will establish righteousness and governmental order.
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” (Psalm 127:1 NIV)
You will pray protection, provisions, and blessings forward:
“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” (Habakkuk 1:5)
Purpose of the Night Watch:
Provide prayer coverage for America and its leadership in the seven mountains.
Promote unity and networking between NDP coordinators through prayer and relationships.
Pray strategic level prayer initiatives for the nation and seven mountains as developed by NDP leadership in partnership with the Watchmen of the Night.
Remember that the “night” belongs to the Lord. He will reward you for your faithfulness.
